Sometimes a story chooses the kids. Sometimes they find something from the real world, like a mooncake, that wakes a story up.
Mia, Leo and Lumi are pulled inside the legend. They don't change the story. They watch it closely and learn from it, because the elders told these stories to help children think. Was it brave? Was it clever? Was it fair? What would you have done?
Once the kids have remembered the story and learned its lesson, they receive a special item from the legend. Back home it turns into a golden coin with the story's icon on it. The coin fills a slot in the Book of Legends, and Lumi glows a little brighter.

Little Legend Keepers was started by an Indonesian-Australian storyteller who grew up loving to read and listen to Timun Mas and the other tales the elders told, and who almost forgot them herself.
Children today know plenty of movie princesses, but very few legends from their own families' cultures. We want to change that, one country at a time, so every child can see the magic in where they come from.
Every episode is made with care and deep respect for the culture its story belongs to. We research each legend and check every cultural detail before it goes into an episode. Our hope is that children come away seeing the beauty in every culture: their own, and their friends' too.
Little Legend Keepers is a small, independent project made by one person. To bring these stories to life on a small budget, we use AI tools for the pictures and voices. Every story is carefully researched, and every scene is checked by a real person.
Our dream: as our community grows, we hope to work with human illustrators and voice actors from the cultures these stories come from.
Tell us in the YouTube comments which story your grandparents told you. It might end up in the Book of Legends.
